"You do not need to be whole to come to this therapeutic space" -Christine Augustine
Hi there! My name is Christine and I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from DePaul University. I have 5 years of experience working in higher education in Chicago with college students and one year of clinical experience.
I am passionate about creating brave spaces where my clients feel safe and empowered to enter into a new level of healing and self-awareness. My goal is to assist you in creating a life toolkit that consists of healthy skills, values, and beliefs that will sustain you, especially through trials and tribulations. Together, we will create a unique toolkit that will unlock the best version of yourself that I believe you were intended to live out.
My clinical specialties include working with adolescents and young adults that are experiencing challenging life transitions, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety, trauma and trauma recovery, body-image and eating concerns, and relationship and sexual violence.
There is power and healing that occurs through supportive relationships.
I serve with compassion and empathy, and I hold a judgment-free, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed space. My therapeutic approach is unique to the client because I do not believe that one size fits all. I am centered on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I use a harm reduction approach which means that I am here to support you wherever you are in your journey of life. When it comes to creating your intervention plan, I work with you, not for you. I believe that change starts with acknowledging your now and your hope for your next.
I am here to walk with you into becoming a greater version of yourself. Schedule an appointment with me today.
