Dr. Danielle Laws-Wallace is a LSW (Licensed Social Worker). A graduate of Capella University where Dr. Laws-Wallace received a Doctor of Social Work Degree. Dr. Laws-Wallace received a Master of Social Work Degree from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child, and Family Welfare from Kaplan University. Over the years, Dr. Laws-Wallace has dedicated her life to helping underserved communities, people with Acute mental health diagnosis, Chronic illness, Substance Use and Trauma especially racial trauma. Dr. Laws-Wallace provides continuous support to at-risks population by utilizing systems theory, Crisis prevention/intervention, strength-based theory, person-centered approach, CBT, DBT, process theory, motivational interviewing and empowerment theory.
Dr. Laws-Wallace displays strong cultural competency/sensitivity and interpersonal communication skills. Dr. Laws-Wallace enjoys advocating for the voiceless and volunteering. Dr. Laws-Wallace is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC where she provides service to all mankind. Dr. Laws-Wallace enjoys running, tending to self-care and traveling. Dr. Laws-Wallace has a strong passion for the helping profession. Dr. Laws-Wallace passion for helping others is so strong that clients has called her a mid-wife due to her helping birth out people purposes in life. Dr. Laws-Wallace always keeps her trauma lens on and looks at all the underlying factors that affect others such as racial trauma, systems, learned behaviors and environmental factors. Dr. Laws-Wallace always says she no different than the people she provides service to. Dr. Laws-Wallace motto is, “A setback is nothing but a setup for a strong comeback. It’s not how you start but how you finish." Dr. Laws-Wallace serve clients who are 17 years and older. Will provide service to younger clients who engage in family therapy.
