Monaka Williams is a licensed social worker (LSW) with over 10 years of experience in the field of psychosocial therapy. She holds a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from Lewis University where she specialized in mental health and counseling.
I am dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and solution-focused techniques to help clients achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.
Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings, including community mental health centers, hospitals, substance abuse rehabilitation and private practice. I have extensive experience in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
I believe in the importance of a holistic approach to mental health, considering the physical, emotional, and social factors that impact well-being. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
In addition to my clinical work, I am an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and regularly participates in continuing education to stay current with the latest developments in the field of psychotherapy.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading , listening to music , spending time with my loved ones and volunteering in my community. I am passionate about promoting mental health awareness and advocating for improved access to mental health services for all individuals.
