I love the innocence and honesty of children and find joy in working with them. Children remind me to be nice to both the younger Sherkerra and the big Sherkerra. Kids remind us that we were once young and need to prioritize fun and not take ourselves so seriously.
I obtained Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology Program from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2020. I completed my internship at O’Keefe School of Excellence working with children as young as 4 years old to 14 years old which fostered my love of working with children to heal traumas and express themselves. I also enjoy working with young adults to help them transition into adulthood and find their way.
My goal in working with clients is to help them heal from the challenges of the current pandemic and help normalize whatever they feel and make them feel safe to communicate how they feel with me. I want to teach them to be transparent and honest and to continue fostering learning through play, meditation, yoga, and self-care practices. I am looking forward to working with you or your children.
