Tanisha Thomas, LSW
Trauma & Creative Expression Therapist
Are you looking to process your life experiences and current struggles with an empathic professional possessing cultural competence? Do you desire to put an end to destructive patterns that continue to appear in your life? I am here to guide you on an emotional, mental and spiritual journey through your problems, to reach your solutions. I begin with assessing and understanding you as an individual, focus on creating a trusting relationship with you, and then provide practical tools that can help you better understand why you are repeating negative cycles and what you can do differently to begin living your best life.
I am a Licensed Social Worker with over 6 years of experience in mental health. I have worked with individuals and families dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, bipolar disorder, anger, grief/loss, and trauma. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, child-focused traumatic stress, DBT, art and narrative therapy.
As a clinician, my goal is to create a therapeutic environment free from judgement and criticism that ensures you feel supported and physically and emotionally safe to express yourself. We are all capable of making change within ourselves and our families; sometimes we just need the right tools! I am here to guide you in manifesting your best self and life.
