Hello! My name is Najah Buck, and I am Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern currently working on developing skills to advocate for and create lasting, safer spaces to explore mental health. I believe in providing unconditional compassionate and multicultural-informed care in the counseling space to form a collaborative zone where all are welcome. I am passionate about learning about your story from your eyes and providing a compassionate, engaged response coupled with therapeutic resources to assist you with the stages of your journey.
I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science Degree from THE Alabama State University, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. Overall, I view counseling from a multidisciplinary, feminist perspective but heavily lean on Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness Approaches.

My interests in mental health stem from a genuine desire to help others coping with trauma, especially in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, understand the power of their stories and their resiliency. I believe therapy is a tool in a multifaceted box that allows people to get one step closer to space, determining who they are, discovering their inner power, and releasing themselves from what hinders them. My goal is to work to create a respectful space where clients of all backgrounds can explore themselves and their challenges and understand and create their own narratives.
