Hello my name is Melyssa Scott. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received a Masters in Social Work from Governors State University. I have 5 years of Social Work experience working with Domestic Violence and Severe Mental Illness.

Within my experience I have worked with teens, adults, and families. I am passionate about art therapy and finding the tools to understanding one’s own mental health. The therapeutic approaches I work with are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Therapy is what you make it. Choosing to start therapy can be one of the hardest steps in the journey, the next is finding the right therapist. By creating a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment my goal is to walk with you and together build a plan that is tailored to you. We can start by building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and respect while exploring areas of your life you may find challenging. We will work together to learn and implement the skills that are necessary to face those challenges and improve your overall wellness.

I am looking forward to walking with you on your journey to self healing!
